Overview

Writing an article in Unburden happens inside a focused submission form. The form is structured enough to keep the article organized, but it is meant to stay out of the way so your attention remains on the piece itself.

When to use this

Use this page before writing a new article, when returning to a draft, or when you are unsure how the title, excerpt, body, and reflection prompt work together.

How it works

1. Start a new article from the dashboard writing action or the Submit article page.
2. Confirm the inherited territory shown on the form.
3. Write a clear title that reflects the emotional or clarity-focused center of the piece.
4. Add an excerpt when you want to control the preview text readers and editors see.
5. Write the article body with enough shape for an editor to understand the piece.
6. Add a reader reflection prompt only when the article naturally invites one.
7. Save as a draft if the article still needs more time, or submit when it is ready for review.

Things to know

• If the excerpt is empty, the platform can use the opening article content as preview text.
• A reflection prompt should feel like an invitation, not a quiz or assignment.
• Submitted articles leave draft space and enter the editorial workflow.
• After submission, changes usually happen through the revision flow if an editor returns the article.
