What writers see after logging in.

Overview

The Writer Dashboard is your quiet home base for writing inside Unburden. It shows the article work that matters now, the movement your pieces have made, and the parts of the publishing flow that need your attention.

When to use this

Use it at the start of a writing session, after receiving a notification, or whenever you want to understand where your drafts and submissions stand.

How it works

1. Open Overview to see current writing focus, article movement, and recent activity.
2. Use Drafts for unfinished work that has not entered review.
3. Use Submissions for articles that have been submitted, returned, approved, scheduled, or published.
4. Use the mobile writing action when you want to begin a new article quickly.
5. Use Settings only for your contributor details, including updating your displayed name.

Things to know

• The Writer overview focuses on writing and publishing movement, not reader analytics.
• If there is nothing urgent, some dashboard sections may stay hidden so the page remains calm.
• Returned articles should be handled from Submissions, where the editor's feedback and article state are easier to follow.
• Your territory is inherited from your contributor setup and is not edited from the dashboard.

Activity and analytics

The Writer overview can show attention items, recent publishing activity, snapshot metrics, and period-based trends. These values come from the backend and may remain empty when there is not enough activity. They describe the Writer's own publishing workflow and do not expose private reader identities.
