What writers can update in settings.

Overview

Settings keep contributor profile details calm and minimal. Writers can update their displayed name, while account details that affect access or placement remain read-only.

When to use this

Use this when your displayed name needs correction or when you want to confirm the account details attached to your writer profile.

How it works

1. Open Settings from the dashboard navigation.
2. Use the edit control beside your full name.
3. Enter the name that should appear with your contributor work.
4. Save the change.
5. The updated name is returned from the backend and used anywhere the platform displays your contributor name, including published article credits.

Things to know

• Email, role, territory, account status, and verification state are read-only.
• Territory is not edited here because it affects contributor placement and article organization.
• Password changes stay in the password reset flow.
• Settings intentionally avoid joined dates, approval dates, notification preferences, platform updates, and newsletter clutter.

Email delivery preferences

Settings show the current transactional email-delivery state. A contributor can unsubscribe or resubscribe where those controls are available. Email delivery and in-app notifications are separate: changing email delivery does not mark dashboard notifications as read, and the dashboard remains the source of truth for article status.
