Notifications
How writers are informed about article movement.
Overview
Notifications help you notice important article movement without needing to refresh the dashboard repeatedly. They are meant to point you back to the right page, not replace the article status itself.
When to use this
Use this when you receive a notification, when you expected one but did not see it, or when you want to understand what kind of workflow actions may alert you.
How it works
- Open the notification button in the dashboard header.
- Read the notification message and follow its link when one is available.
- Check Submissions for the article's current state.
- Some workflow actions may also send email depending on platform behavior.
- Returned, approved, scheduled, and published articles can generate notifications.
Things to know
- Not every small edit or internal movement creates a notification.
- If notifications are missing, confirm your account is active and email verified.
- Editors and Managers can trigger different types of notification.
- In local development, socket or browser-extension warnings may appear in the console without changing the actual article state.
