Drafts and submission

Can readers or editors see my drafts?

No. Drafts are private to you. Editors only see articles after you submit them for review.

Can I edit an article after submitting it?

Not as a normal draft. Once an article is submitted, it belongs to the editorial workflow. If the editor returns it, you can revise it from the submissions flow.

What happens if I leave the excerpt empty?

The platform can use the opening article content as preview text. Add an excerpt only when you want a specific short preview.

Review and revision

Why was my article returned?

Returned articles need writer action before they can move forward. Open the submission and read the editor's return reason and any passage notes.

Does a returned article mean rejection?

No. A return means the editor believes the article needs revision. It is part of the editorial process, not a final decision.

What happens if I wait too long to revise?

A returned article can become inactive after a long delay. If reactivation is available, you can request that a Manager reopen it.

Publishing

Who decides whether my article is published?

Editors prepare articles for Manager review, but Managers make final publishing, scheduling, and approval decisions.

Will my name update on already published articles?

Yes. Your displayed contributor name comes from your profile, so updating your name in Settings should apply anywhere the platform displays your writer credit.

Why is my article approved but not live yet?

Approval and publication are different steps. An article may be approved, waiting for Manager review, scheduled for later, or still awaiting final publishing action.

Account and access

Can I change my territory?

No. Territory is read-only because it affects contributor placement and article organization.

Why can I not see every dashboard page?

Some pages appear only after your account is approved, verified, and unlocked for the right role.
